AKGÖL

INALTI CAVE :

It stands 50 kilometres far from Ayancık Town on the South, near the İnaltı village and 1070 metres high from the sea. From the 17 kilometres of Ayancık-Boyabat road, following the separated road to Akgöl, you can reach İnaltı village and then you can arrive the cave by walking, or a vehicle from the new road. İnaltı Cave's limestones have developed based on the system of crack fractures. The developed into today's shape in two steps. In the 1 step, the waters leaking from the surface joined in the bodies of CO2 in the soil zone and got acid characteristic. So they dissolved more limestone enlarging the breaks and this caused the formation of an undergroundwater-way. In the 2 step, based on the regional rise. The development finished and the flow of water decreased.
