BOYABAT :
Boyabat which was founded in 600 BC, is 94 km. es far from Sinop. It is the most developed administrrative district of sinop. Kalebağ, Topalçam and bürnük are excellent picnic places.
In the town, which is corvered large forest, Saler Village rock tomb, Ambarkaya Tomb, Arım rock tomb and tunnel and Boyabat castle dated with foundaiton of the town are historical places where you should visit.
THE CASTLE OF BOYABAT :
In the Gökırmak Valley where Boyabat Town stands, it was founded on one of the two rocky and step hills which stands facing one another. The castle was founded according to the natural structure of the rocks. The towers among the castle walls were built sometimes in the shape of rectangle and sometimes in the shape of round. There are stairs inside going up the towers. The plan of the castle has the qualities of Byzantium because of the findings belonging to late Roman, early Byzantium period. This shows that it had been used from late Roman period tillthe Otoman period.
BOYABAT HOUSES :
There are 208 Ottoman period houses of civilian architecture samples of which the offical registration decision continues. These are at most established in the city center and Boyabat. The houses had been built by the made of bath and plaster technique or brich material between the wooden skeleton and the wooden material had been used majority depending to tha sources of local at these houses.
